Software Engineer C++
Essential Functions:
- Applies analytical processes to the planning, designing, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet business requirements of customers
- Consults with customer team members to clarify and illicit input on product functionality and performance
- Works with lead engineers and provide technical expertise to other personnel as required
- Designs program logic to eliminate problems, accomplish needed changes or amendments, or increase operational efficiency. Modifies or expands coding to accomplish specified processing changes
- Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
- Self-starter and broad thinker who can demonstrate the ability to work independently, multi-task, and deliver completed projects and testing requirements in a timely manner
- Must be able to problem solve and exhibit participatory approach as needed is essential
Education:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field
Knowledge & Skill:
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in progress programming in UNIX, DOS or Windows environments.
- Experience in multi-threaded software architecture to design, implement, and maintain gaming system components for a large scale international project.
- The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Object Oriented Design, 4 to 6 years experience in C++ programming, strong knowledge of the C++ Standard Template Library, experience with LINUX, threads programming and XML.
- Working knowledge of C++ and OOD Experience in gaming related graphic design is desired.
- Experience in one or more of the following: OpenGL, DirectX, SDL, Scripting Languages (i.e. Python, Perl, LUA)
